top 10 things you think make a guy cute
editor's note: Psychokitty and I first did this list around this time last year, but my answers got lost during one of my email switches. sad. the rule was that whatever quality you listed had to be universal, i.e. you liked the qualities before you liked the person, instead of deciding that something's cute because the person you're dating does it. PK stands by her answers; mine are new. be warned: this list is cheesy and adolescent and sincere. for jaded insincerity bordering on cleverness, read this.

10. short hair, but maybe a little shaggy.
9. a little style. clothes that show they care enough about what they look like to know what's not square, but don't look like they'd spend more time on their hair than you would.
8. good, broad musical taste that overlaps and compliments your own. I'll fall in love with a boy over a really good mix tape.
7. thoughtfulness. not like flowers and overdone stuff like that, but genuine things that show they care about you, or family, or pets, or whatever.
6. a willingness to try new things and go new places. and ideas about what to do and where to go.
5. having goals and pursuing them, instead of just being talk all the time or being preoccupied with money.
4. convictions and confidence in who they are. not being a player though - that's just insecurity, baby!
3. creativity and nonconformity, though not to show off or just for the sake of not conforming.
2. intelligence and cleverness. not necessarily book learnin', but quick wit.
