Top Ten Favorite Colors And Why
! psychokitty !
10. white - crisp and makes me feel very classic.
9. dark purple - not nyu purple, or prince purple. more like grape juice purple...it's almost black but not quite.
8. jade green - it feels precious and old, like my grandmother
7. light gray - it makes me feel like I should be living in 1960s Paris with my chain-smoking boyfriend, Betrand, and our cat named sophie.
6. light blue - it's breezy and makes me feel fresh like those girls riding horseback on those tampon commercials
5. brown - it gives me that warm fuzzy feeling...the kind you get when you sip hot apple cider at the farmers market in the middle of autumn.
4. pink - one of my tools to subvert our patriarchal society... I am reappropriating the color pink, just like those who have reclaimed the word "bitch," as a means of female empowerment.
3. black - but the nice rich four color black, so when it prints it's shiny. or for clothes... that rich warm black (not the cool black) that looks really lushy and sexy.
2. orange - it's funky and sassy (like me!)
1. red - it's my muse (i like designing in red). It's also sensuous and firey---and just a little of it goes a long way. it's like a cherry on top of sundae (and a cherry is red too!)

10. White. Good for accents, to contrast the other colors, or bring out something else in them you might not have noticed.
9. Orange. In the right mood and the right hands, it's a fun color that people usually overlook.
8. Steel-grey. When black is too black and everything else is too colorful.
7. Blue-grey. Like the rain. Very calming.
6. Pink. Red for girls. The feminine red. The cute, nonthreatening red. Best used ironically (a pink skull, a pink bag with spikes, etc.)
5. Blue. Not navy blue, and not powder blue. That strong, in-between blue that isn't too loud. Like the walls of my room.
4. Forest green/pure green. Not too dark and not too light. It matches my eyes. ;)
3. Maroon. When red is too much, too outgoing, a deep maroon is the perfect alternative. It's everything pure red is, but more mature.
2. Black. Besides matching everything and providing a good base for all your other colors, it's totally full and sensuous. It's both practical and sexy!
1. Red - a pure red or a blue-red (not any of that orange-red business). It's energy and power and strength and fun and vibrant and vivaciousness and danger and go go go!
