I wrote this, so Austin Mike wrote this: Short Girl Army. And it is wonderful.

Oh it is true. My whole life has been focused on the cringing embarrassment; I never considered the magnificent part and the continuous part and the small glories part.
Never forget the small glories.
Meg once described a Ted Leo song she loved by saying "the music and lyrics make me want to eat metal". That's how I feel about some of the lines in Austin Mike's piece. And so many other things.
Also, Jay X has been posting amazingly inspirational things about writing things and making things all month at All Mod Cons, and telling some great stories too. It's funny how peering into other people's creative process can fuel your own. Or at least not make you feel so alone.
