killing time waiting to leave for my bus and catching up on friends' writing - I've missed quite a lot of good stuff lately. like JayX's really funny essay, "The Competition of Non-Competition," which details the musical oneupmanship she and her boss are involved in. I work with her and didn't even realize the situation was going on. lost in my own little world...

also awesome: Miss Llew's "Making a Pie Crust Versus Making New Friends" at Chubby Girl Brigade. she has managed to put into handy list form what I've been trying to explain all Thanksgiving week, namely that in my world, food does not perform well on the work/reward ratio scale. oh yes, a pie is delicious, but it is less so when I have to spend 6 hours making it.

and finally: Kangaroo Sequins' meditation on "Bros Before Hos, y'all!" may only be highly amusing to me, but still. highly amusing.
